COSMETICS TESTING

In accordance with Part A of Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, the following tests are carried out in the laboratories of Chemila, spol. s r.o.

 

Sensory tests
appearance, smell/odor, colour, consistency

 

Physical and chemical
pH, dry matter, determination of acid number, batch volume, tightness of packaging, moisture, viscosity


Stability testing of cosmetic products
ISO/TR 18811: Cosmetics-Guidelines for stability testing of cosmetic products The final setting of test parameters depends on the nature of the product and the manufacturer’s requirements


Microbiological
detection of specific microorganisms (Ps. aeruginosa, St. aureus, C. albicans, E. coli)

enumeration and detection of non-specific microorganisms (mesophilic bacteria, yeasts)

preservative efficacy tests (Ps. aeruginosa, St. aureus, C. albicans, E. coli, A. brasiliensis) according to EN ISO 11930: Cosmetics – Microbiology – Evaluation of antimicrobial protection of cosmetic products

In vitro cytotoxicity tests according to EN ISO 10993-5: Biological evaluation of medical devices – Part 5: In vitro cytotoxicity tests

In vitro skin irritation tests (EpiDerm, Mattek) according to EN ISO 10993-23: Biological evaluation of medical devices-Part 23: Tests for irritation

Human skin irritation test according to EN ISO 10993-23: Biological evaluation of medical devices-Part 23: Tests for irritation
